Branson Brown is a boutique recruitment company which specializes in senior management roles, the increasing drive for talented state managers, senior engineering and technical roles in design, construction, project management, delivery and commissioning. Our clients are usually larger corporate groups who use us with roles they are having difficulty filling or require a specialist approach. This may be because of technical needs of the role, candidate shortage or corporate confidentiality.

Our methods are determined by the client brief and tailored to the assignment. This is the most essential part of our process, as we often find the ability to deliver to the clients need is determined by the quality of this initial communication. This initial approach is not set in stone and our ongoing review during the assignment may see this changed or modified. In this increasingly difficult candidate environment we will adopt new and innovative methods to find your candidate. We follow procedures and quality assurance to accepted industry best practice

Business Sales & Acquisitions
Branson Brown offers an entrepreneurial business sales service. Typically we work with people who have built a solid business over time. They generally have not planned an exit strategy and have not formulated a divestment plan. Businesses range from $4m - $20m (AUS) and this SME category is not usually catered for in the current market.

We work with accredited financial advisors such as, Independent Capital Partners (ICP) or BDO Kendalls corporate advisory unit, depending on the size and nature of the assignment.

Our first task is to obtain your brief, which covers your objectives, possible acquirers, and type of input you are prepared to provide. This may include defining your continued participation in the company post acquisition, usually for a defined period. You may stress that you wish to make an immediate departure.

From your brief we prepare an Information Memorandum and with our business advisory partners, work with you to provide sufficient detail for interested parties to make a non binding indicative offer. The entire process will be outlined to you once the brief is obtained.

The most important point we impress on our clients is the time frame. Divestment of a business is not usually a quick process. Actions may need to be taken along the way to place the business in a more saleable position. This can include management structure or, adding roles to make the business function in a corporate environment. Divestments of the business we accept for sale are normally made to publically listed Companies or Private Equity clients. Due diligence with these groups is a thorough and exhaustive process. We can help you through these procedures.

Fees are dependent on the assignment. An up front charge following the brief and acceptance of our terms covers producing the INFORMATION MEMORANDUM, liaising with financial institutions, assembling possible buyers and devising a strategy consistent with your requirements. A periodic charge may be levied depending on the assignment.

Upon settlement a success fee which covers the bulk of the charges is paid and any periodic fees are deducted from this amount.Please contact us to examine your particular circumstance. We can explain the time line, charges and other issues you may encounter such as, advising staff, clients and suppliers if the business is on the market.

There is no charge for an initial consultation to assess your circumstances. This will give us opportunity to determine if we may be of assistance and if the service we offer suits your needs.
